Dr. Em Walter has a diverse background in emergency and shelter medicine. She is passionate about animal welfare and strives to provide quality care when resources are limited. Her special interests include laceration repairs, relieving urinary obstructions, and foreign body removal.

Dr. Walter has been working in the veterinary field for over a decade. She started as a Veterinary Assistant in Louisville and later began her career as a Veterinarian at a high-volume animal shelter in Chicago.

She was called back home to Louisville a few years ago and has been working in emergency medicine ever since. Her goal is to create an environment that allows families to make quick, thoughtful, and informed decisions that work for them and their pet when it matters most.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Walter enjoys attending local art and music shows with her partner and relaxing in bed with her fur-babies (who were all foster fails!).
